Job summary

Embrace Community Services is recruiting an Assistant Director of Children's Services to provide operational leadership across national residential services. We seek experienced leaders to drive child-centred care, safety and wellbeing while supporting teams to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Social Work or related discipline.
• Five years' experience in children's disability or residential services.
• Three years' experience in a management or leadership role.
• Experience supporting or managing HIQA inspections.
• Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex presentations.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations, Children First Act 2015 and National Standards for Residential Services.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership, quality assurance and performance oversight across designated children's residential services.
• Collaborate with Persons in Charge, multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality services.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to service leaders while driving continuous improvement and workforce development.
• Ensure all services operate in line with HIQA requirements, Tusla standards and Children First.
