Job summary

Attuned HealthCare seeks a Social Care Team Leader to supervise a micro-residential service for individuals with complex needs in Ashford, Wicklow. You will assist the Centre Manager daily, ensuring HIQA/MHC compliance and fostering a safe, empowering environment.

You will work with an MDT, support staff, and maintain high standards of quality, safeguarding, and data management while promoting respect and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Social Care / Health Care at QQI Level 7 or higher (or equivalent).
• CORU registered or currently studying CORU qualification in Social Care (QQI Level 7).
• Proven experience in residential services with complex needs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent documentation, organisational, and report-writing skills.
• Understanding of HIQA/MHC regulations and safeguarding policies.
• Full clean driver’s licence and right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Support the Social Care Manager in daily operations, including rostering and audits.
• Monitor center budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support care and admin staff.
• Oversee personalised support plans aligning with individual rights and choices.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Care Team Leader to support the delivery of highquality, personcentered care within a microresidential service for individuals with complex support needs.

In this leadership role, you will support the Centre Manager with the daytoday running of the service, ensuring best practice in line with HIQA/MHC regulations, and fostering a safe, empowering, and therapeutic environment.

You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and play a key role in supporting staff, coordinating care, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Social Care Manager in daily operational management including:
• Staff rostering
• Monitoring center budgets
• Completing daily/weekly compliance checklists
• Support the Centre Manager with audits, incident reviews, and qualityimprovement initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with HIQA/MHC standards, safeguarding policies, and legislative requirements.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support care and administrative staff.
• Oversee personalised support plans to ensure individual needs, rights, and choices are central to care delivery.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, advocates, MDT members, and external agencies.
• Maintain high standards in safety, health, infection control, and GDPR and data management.
• Promote a culture of respect, professionalism, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

We are seeking motivated, compassionate, and professional Team Leader who are committed to delivering high-quality residential care.

The ideal candidate is expected to have:

• A recognised qualification in Social Care / Health Care at QQI Level 7 or higher (or equivalent) or evidence of enrolment or currently studying a CORU recognised qualification in Social Care at QQI Level 7
• Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification /have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application will be necessary)
• Proven experience working in residential services with individuals who present with complex needs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decisionmaking skills.
• Excellent documentation, organisational, and reportwriting skills.
• Confidence in using IT systems and digital recordkeeping tools.
• Understanding of best practice in residential care, safeguarding, individuals' rights, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Commitment to Children First (if working with children)
• Knowledge of the Trust in Care Policy (if working with adults)
• Successful Garda Vetting and legal right to work in Ireland.
• Full clean driver's licence.
• A professional, respectful, and empathetic approach
