Job summary

St. Christophers Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and develop our transport, maintenance, and canteen functions.

You will oversee a 46-vehicle fleet, manage facilities, drive procurement and contract governance, and ensure compliance with HIQA, safety, and GDPR requirements. You will partner with the CEO and stakeholders to implement best practices and optimise service delivery.

Qualifications

• A third level qualification is preferable.
• At least 3 years operations experience or similar experience in the business community, ideally holding experience in working in the disability sector.
• Proven and demonstrable people management/engagement skills and the proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office, Office 365, MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint. Ability to run reports and present data.
• Demonstrate experience regarding project management.
• Experience in staff and roster management.
• Thorough approach to work/attention to detail.
• Ability to priorities competing deadlines and to deliver work on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of HIQA Regulations, Health, and Safety Legislation; Data Protection & GDPR.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, and eligible to live and work in Ireland.
• Experience of utilisation of Softworks HRIS and Snapfix maintenance tracking system or similar systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations teams through the support of managers within the Transport, Maintenance and Canteen functions, including workforce planning, supervision, performance management, training, and development to support the delivery of high-quality services.
• Responsible for the management and oversight of the fleet of 46 vehicles, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant transport services.
• Manage maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all organisational properties to ensure safety and compliance.
• Develop, implement, and review facilities management, maintenance, security, and risk strategies and procedures.
• Plan, manage, and deliver facilities projects within budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate annual insurance renewal and motor fleet insurance arrangements.
• Oversee canteen service delivery with budget control and procurement practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, HACCP, safety regulations; promote best practices.
• Monitor and improve canteen services based on feedback.
• Lead procurement, benchmarking and contract management for operations including insurance.
• Ensure procurement complies with policies and regulations; achieve value for money.
• Work with Finance on procurement and budgeting; manage operations budget
