Job summary

Jobtailor Ireland offers an internship to learn OpenShift AI release engineering on the Kubernetes platform. You will diagnose failures, backport CVEs, and help maintain CI/CD and product quality.

You must be enrolled in a university in the Republic of Ireland and available full-time January through August 2027. Proficiency in Python and Go, Linux, debugging, and GitHub/GitLab workflows is expected; OpenShift/Kubernetes familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland for the full duration of the internship.
• Must be able to join full time from January through August 2027.
• Hands-on knowledge of Python and Go programming.
• Good understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux.
• Familiarity with committing code to source control systems such as GitHub/GitLab.
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes or containers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn the OpenShift AI product and gain enterprise release engineering experience on the Kubernetes platform.
• Diagnose the root cause of failures
• Contribute to backporting CVEs and bug fixes to stable release streams
• Take responsibility for product quality, continuous integration and delivery, and responding to security threats
• Learn the release engineering process, patch review process, backports, test plans, and automation tool creation
