Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship.
• Must be able to join full time from January through August 2027.
• Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Some programming experience in TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.
• Interest in learning containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
• Comfort using the command line.
• Interest in learning new technologies and problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience with containers (Docker/Podman) or Kubernetes/OpenShift is a plus.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and how services communicate is a plus.
• Exposure to React or a similar frontend framework is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with OpenShift/Kubernetes resources, including custom resources, operators, and API routes.
• Build and test backend integrations, including REST API consumption, MCP server connectivity, and model serving endpoints.
• Debug issues across the stack, from cluster-level resource problems to frontend rendering.
• Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Contribute to upstream open source development on GitHub through pull requests, code reviews, and issue triage.
• Build frontend features in React/TypeScript when needed.
• Participate in daily standups, weekly 360 team syncs, and release planning.
