Job summary

Red Hat, Inc. is seeking an OpenShift Sustaining Engineering Intern for the Waterford, Ireland office. The full-time internship runs January 2027 through August 2027 and offers hybrid working hours in a collaborative team environment.

You will participate in backporting, build and release activities, and CVE-related bug fixes while gaining hands-on software engineering experience. You will be enrolled in an accredited Irish university and should have practical knowledge of Go or Python, as well

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland.
• Hands-on experience with Go or Python and basic Linux usage.
• Familiarity with open source contribution and software development testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in backporting and other build and release activities.
• Work on CVE issues and bug fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate on AI and Automation projects.
• Contribute to Red Hat’s strategy for OpenShift lifelong offerings.
