Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship.
• Must be able to join full time from January through August 2027.
• Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Practical knowledge of Go or Python.
• Linux experience at least at user level.
• Knowledge of software development testing and build is a plus.
• Open source contribution is a plus.
• Team spirit and collaborative approach.
• CV should clearly outline education, relevant projects, GitHub account, and extracurricular activities.
• Apply for a maximum of three internship roles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in backporting and other build and release activities
• Work on CVE issues and bug-fixing scenarios
• Collaborate with the team on AI and Automation projects
• Contribute to Red Hat's strategy for OpenShift lifelong offerings
• Learn engineering workflows and focus on product backporting
• Help manage and develop the long-life OpenShift offering
