During the internship you will learn OpenShift AI, release engineering on Kubernetes, backport CVEs, write test plans, and build automation to improve patch delivery and product quality. Start is January 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Irish university for the full internship duration.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in Python and Go programming.
• Good understanding of debugging and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Linux and source control (GitHub/GitLab).
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn OpenShift AI product and gain enterprise experience in Release engineering on Kubernetes.
• Diagnose root causes of failures and contribute to backports and fixes.
• Backport CVEs and bug fixes to stable release streams.
• Help ensure product quality, CI/CD, and delivery of patches.
• Develop automation tools to improve efficiency and reliability.

The Red Hat Experience Engineering (XE) Sustaining Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated Student for Internship position who can join our team and who wants to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products.
