Job summary

FRS Recruitment is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Co. Louth to appoint an experienced Production Planning Manager to head the onsite Planning team.

This hands-on role demands strong people management and deep technical expertise in production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee short, medium and long-term production plans, collaborating with Demand Planning, Operations, Logistics and Procurement to optimise capacity and service levels.

Qualifications

• Previous people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Experience in capacity planning, forecasting and managing changing customer demand.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
• A proactive, hands-on and results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading, managing and developing a team of Planners.
• Managing short, medium and long-term production plans and schedules.
• Identifying capacity constraints and supporting the S&OP process.
• Managing seasonal and promotional plans.
• Working closely with Demand Planning, Operations, Logistics and Procurement.
• Monitoring service levels and supporting recovery plans where required.
• Ensuring production schedules are efficient, achievable and reflective of operational capacity.
• Supporting NPD and product changes from a planning perspective.
• Driving continuous improvement across planning processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Planning professional with strong people management experience to oversee the planning function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
