  • Freight & Transport Coordination: Arrange heavy-freight transport and specialized haulage (e.g., flatbeds, HIAB cranes) for nationwide and regional deliveries to construction sites.
  • Carrier & Supplier Negotiation : Source, vet, and negotiate rates with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and shipping lines to optimize freight costs.

  • Customs Clearance & Compliance: Oversee all import documentation, ensuring accurate tariff classification and compliance with customs regulations.
  • Duty & Tax Management: Monitor and track import duties, VAT, and port fees, working alongside the finance team to optimize landing costs and maintain deferment accounts.
  • Supplier Liaison: Maintain direct communication with international formwork manufacturers regarding production timelines, lead times, and quality control documentation before dispatch.
  • Sales Order Processing: Manage the administrative workflow from initial quote sign-off to invoicing, tracking orders in the system.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Generate and organize transport notes, proof of deliveries (PODs), customs/import clearances for international shipments, and commercial invoices.
  • Account Support: Liaison with the finance department to manage credit checks for construction clients and follow up on outstanding supplier documentation.
  • Office Maintenance: Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, maintain office and safety supply levels, and act as the primary contact for utility vendors and IT troubleshooting.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Yard & Warehouse Safety: Ensure the loading yard and office environments conform to strict construction health and safety regulations.
  • Load Compliance: Ensure all outward shipments comply with heavy transport weight limits and secure-loading protocols
Skills & Experience Required:
  • You will have at least 3–5 years of experience in logistics or office management, preferably within construction supplies, scaffolding, plant hire, or formwork sectors.
  • A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field would be desirable.
  • Experience utilizing ERP inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, XERO) alongside dispatch or transport management systems (TMS).
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to smoothly transition between corporate office environments and fast-paced construction yard/site dynamics.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
