Job summary

Cowper Care is seeking an Assistant Care Manager for St Patrick's Care Centre in Baldoyle, Dublin 13. The role reports to the Person in Charge and involves leading a professional team to deliver high-quality care for residents in a designated centre for older people.

The appointee will support the Care Manager, work within HIQA regulations, and participate in weekend/on-call duties. Garda Vetting is required; full-time, 39 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse on the live NMBI register.
• Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care.
• Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or be prepared to acquire it.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals and contribute to the development of the Nursing Home.
• Be accountable for high quality care delivery in the designated centre and deputise for the Care Manager when required.
• Weekend work and on-call responsibilities are involved.
