Job summary

Depaul’s Waterford Manor House is seeking a Night Support Worker on a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026, with a likely extension. The role offers 37.5 hours per week across a 7-day period, with a salary of €37,631.88 per annum.

You will work within a diverse team to support residents, ensure safety and wellbeing, and contribute to service delivery in a values‑led organisation. Experience in homelessness services and QQI Level 5 in Social Care are desirable, along with a focus on risk

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness services or related area.
• Ability to work in a night-shift residential setting.
• Understanding of risk management and crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Provide night‑time support to residents and respond to service user needs.
• Ensure communal areas are clean and well maintained; assist with laundry and cleaning.
• Maintain night security and monitor the building and surroundings.
• Support residents with prescribed medications in coordination with nursing staff.
• Record incidents and report non‑compliance to management.
• Encourage residents to develop daily living skills and independence.
• Attend team meetings and participate in supervision and appraisal.
