Job summary

Depaul West Cork Service seeks a Support Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team across a 7-day rota. You will support residents with daily living, maintain a safe environment and participate in activities, with an emphasis on harm minimisation and dignity.

The role offers a fixed-term 12-month contract with extension potential. The role requires at least 1 year in homelessness or related work or a Level 5 Social Care qualification, good educational standard, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in homelessness or related field, or Level 5 Social Care qualification.
• Good standard of education.
• Experience in activity planning desirable.
• Experience of lone working or off-site work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic communal living environment and support residents with daily tasks.
• Encourage residents to develop daily living skills and independence.
• Assist with personal monies and service charge payments as needed.
• Maintain petty cash, records, invoices and client files for project admin.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards per policy and Safety Statement.
