Job summary

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in Killarney is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to join our Nights Team, ensuring guest safety, security and comfort during the evening and overnight hours. The role involves patrols, monitoring systems, handling guest inquiries, assisting with luggage, setting up rooms for events, and maintaining lobby cleanliness.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in hospitality, excellent communication and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the hotel premises and guests by conducting routine patrols and monitoring security systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests by answering questions, addressing concerns, and fulfilling requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby, public areas, and back-of-house areas as needed.
• Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure.
• Operate the switchboard and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional way.
• Set up and prepare function rooms for breakfast or other events.
• Report any maintenance or security issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete all paperwork and logs accurately and efficiently.
