Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Engineering Manager to join the Backbone and Edge Engineering team, focusing on the Software Defined Express Backbone Network. You will collaborate with engineers across software, systems, IP, and optical networking to drive innovation and expand our global network.

The role requires leadership of a networking software engineering team, strong knowledge of networking and distributed systems, and experience with network management systems for large-scale networks, while

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years managing MPLS and RSVP-TE based networks
• 6+ years experience in program management or product management
• Experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience in network management systems for large-scale networks
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and ethical AI practices (risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews)
