Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking Network Development Engineers to join the Border Network Engineering team. You will design and architect networks that must scale infinitely and never constrain growth, supporting connectivity to the Internet, peers, external customers, and internal data centre services.

You will work on designing network topologies, traffic engineering, and routing policy, while collaborating with stakeholders to drive roadmap priorities and deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and IP protocols.
• Experience with major internet routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS or Junos.

Responsibilities

• Design network topologies, architectures, and services that address diverse technical and business requirements.
• Contribute to team roadmaps by listening to internal and external customers and team feedback.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and select projects aligning with the team's mission.
• Create and defend High Level Design documents for network solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance to deployment and operations teams implementing your designs.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for operations teams.
