Job summary

TEKsystems in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer on an 11-month contract to support deployment, expansion and operation of large-scale global network infrastructure. You will own complex deployment projects from planning through production handover in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale network deployment projects in data centre, backbone or edge environments (≤140 chars).
• Proficient with BGP, IS-IS, MPLS and SDN for design, deployment and troubleshooting (≤140 chars).
• Strong collaboration with engineering and operations teams; produce documentation (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Deliver large-scale network deployment and capacity expansion projects across data centre, backbone and edge environments.
• Configure, implement and troubleshoot routing, switching and IP networking technologies, including BGP, IS-IS, MPLS and SDN.
• Coordinate infrastructure installations, rack deployments, cabling activities, testing and operational handovers.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including MOPs, BOMs, EDPs and Scope of Work documents.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and project teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder communication.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation, process optimisation and efficient problem resolution.

We are seeking an experienced Network Deployment Engineer to support the delivery, expansion, and operational readiness of large-scale global network infrastructure. This role is ideal for an engineer with a background in hyperscale, data centre, cloud, telecom, CDN, or other high-availability environments who is comfortable taking ownership of complex network deployment projects from planning through to production handover.
