Job summary

RECRUITERS in Dublin is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for an initial 11-month contract to support a large-scale network environment across Europe. You will deploy infrastructure, coordinate materials and site activities, provision equipment, and help transition new infrastructure into production.

The role requires strong expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, RSVP, and SDN, with hands-on Linux/Windows server experience and excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in network engineering and large-scale deployments.
• Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, RSVP and SDN.
• Experience with Linux or Windows server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across network, systems and automation.
• Proven project management and cross-functional coordination experience.

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in Dublin on an initial 11-month contract, with potential for extension. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large-scale, global network environment, supporting complex deployment and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in large-scale network deployments, combined with excellent project coordination and troubleshooting skills. You'll be responsible for deploying network infrastructure, coordinating materials and site activities, provisioning equipment, and supporting the transition of new infrastructure into production.

Key responsibilities include developing implementation plans and engineering documentation, configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching technologies, coordinating with cross-functional teams and field engineers, and resolving network, systems, hardware, and automation issues.

Key skills and experience:

• 5-7 years' experience in network engineering and large-scale deployments


• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, RSVP and SDN


• Experience with Linux or Windows server environments


• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, systems and automation


• Proven project management and cross-functional coordination experience


• Excellent communication, planning and documentation skills


• Experience within hyperscale, telecoms, AI infrastructure or similarly large-scale environments is highly desirable

Travel to data centre and network sites across Europe may occasionally be required.
