Job summary

GemPool Recruitment in Dublin (Hybrid & Client Sites) is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a growing technical team delivering enterprise network and infrastructure solutions across education and corporate sectors. This is a client-facing role combining pre-sales, solution design, project delivery, and hands-on implementation.

You will design and scope network and server solutions, produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and Statements of Work (SoWs),

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior network engineering experience.
• Cisco CCNP (Routing & Switching) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, firewall management, and high-density Wi‑Fi design.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft 365, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
• ITIL v4 Foundation (or equivalent); Agile Service Manager certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during pre-sales meetings, site surveys, and infrastructure audits.

• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify infrastructure improvement opportunities.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project delivery experience.
• Full Irish Driving Licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Essential Qualifications:

• Cisco CCNP (Routing & Switching) or equivalent
• MCSE or equivalent Microsoft certifications
• Minimum 5+ years' industry experience in a senior network engineering role
• Full Irish Driving Licence
