Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a Network Engineer to deploy and support their global production edge, backbone, data center, campus, and CDN network infrastructure.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop MOPs and SOWs, and manage equipment installation and cabling across Europe. Experience with Linux/Windows servers and network automation is required. This 11-month FTC role offers a hybrid Dublin arrangement with flexible days.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of large-scale network deployment experience, hyperscale background preferred.
• Expert troubleshooting across network, systems, and automation failures.
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Familiarity with server OS (Linux/Windows), server hardware, and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support global production edge, backbone, data center, campus, and CDN network infrastructure.
• Generate end-to-end implementation plans (MOPs, BOMs, EDPs, SOWs, RFE) and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Oversee equipment installation and cabling.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise IP routing/switching technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, RSVP, SDN).
• Manage multiple complex projects with site visits to POPs and data centres across Europe.
• Collaborate with field teams and colocation providers, present project updates in meetings, identify process improvements.
• Support server OS (Linux/Windows), perform hardware repairs, address network automation issues.

What Skills You Need In This Job As A Network Engineer:

• Generate end-to-end implementation plans (MOPs, BOMs, EDPs, SOWs, RFE), coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee equipment installation and cabling.


• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise IP routing/switching technologies and protocols (including TCP/IP, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, RSVP, SDN).


• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including site visits to Points of Presence (POPs) and data centres across Europe (e.g., Spain, France, Portugal).


• Collaborate proactively with field teams and colocation providers, present clear project updates in meetings, and continuously identify process improvements.


• Support server operating systems (Linux/Windows), perform hardware repairs, and address network automation issues.
