Job summary

Apleona is recruiting for Full-time Multitasking Cleaners to join a nursing home in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Night shift consists of 4 nights per week, 8:00 pm–8:00 am, up to 40 hours.

Responsibilities include general cleaning of all areas, security checks, stock replenishment, complying with health and safety procedures, and reporting issues to the supervisor. PSA security licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices.
• Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the tasks.
• PSA security licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake light security duties such as ensuring doors are locked, and letting visitors in/out.
• Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, and toilets.
• Vacuuming, dusting, and washing floors and walls.
• Sweeping, floor polishing, and waste disposal.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish working area, kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean, and supplies are replenished when required.
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators.
• General housekeeping and cleaning around the building.
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager of the stock required for replenishing purposes
• Comply with all Health and safety company procedures
• Ensure the daily completion ofinternal and external patrols
• Report any security events in the onsite log
• Deal with emergency situations, including but not limited to Initial alerts and evacuations
• Establishing parameter and access control
• Liaise with client and their National Call Centre regarding any security issues or problems
• Undertake any other duties as requested
