Job summary

Apleona is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at pharma facilities in Dublin 15. The role oversees cleaning staff, ensures site standards, and supports the Cleaning Manager in daily operations.

Shifts include day and evening times, with a focus on quality, health and safety, and timely delivery of cleaning services. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential; transport access is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in cleaning services.
• Experience using cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning staff and monitor workloads, performance and quality.
• Audit cleaning standards and supply usage; assist Cleaning Manager.
• Coordinate induction and on-the-job training for staff.
• Assist recruitment and holiday relief planning with the Cleaning Manager.
• Record staff absences and maintain health and safety compliance.
• Liaise with contract parties and maintain site SLAs.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.

We are currently recruiting for Cleaning Supervisors to join our team at our pharma facilities in Dublin 15

Day shift: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:00 Friday 08:00 - 15:00 or

Evening shift :Monday - Thursday 17:00-01:00AM Friday 17:00-12.00AM

Main duties and responsibilities

• Ensures the smooth running of the site, adhering to the Site Service Level Agreement and Services Specification
• To supervise and investigate the quality and standard of cleaning services provided at client sites, and assist the Cleaning Manager
• To assist the Cleaning Manager in the supervision of the cleaning service staff, including the allocation of workloads, monitoring progress and performance, determining work priorities, paying particular attention to productivity and quality control
• To assist in the undertaking of site cleaning audits and to control and monitor the correct use of appropriate cleaning materials
• To control and monitor the use of cleaning equipment, arrange the repair or renewal of equipment, and make recommendations to the Cleaning Manager
• To carry out stock checks on equipment and materials as required
• To arrange/carry out the induction and ‘on the job’ training of the cleaning staff in accordance with relevant Apleona company practices
• To undertake in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager, the recruitment of cleaning employees in accordance with relevant Apleona company practices
• To organise the provision of relief/ holiday cover for cleaning staff as required in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager
• To authorise, allocate, and record in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager, cleaning staff absences
• Perform ad hoc duties and other related tasks as assigned by the Cleaning Manager
• Have excellent communication skills essential for professional discussion in meetings and for frequent liaison with all contract parties
• Have excellent organisational and management skills
• Comply with all company Health and Safety procedures
• Be an efficient motivator and leader with good problem-solving skills and have the flexibility required for the role

Qualifications and experience

• Good work record with proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of using cleaning equipment
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Access to own transport ( an advantage)
