Job summary

White Recruitment Limited in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand the company’s Irish customer base. You will identify new commercial opportunities and deliver tailored multimodal freight solutions across air, sea and road.

This role offers a salary up to €90,000 plus an excellent commission scheme, with autonomy to develop new business and build long-term partnerships within an international logistics network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or the logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of multimodal freight (air, sea and road).
• Excellent networking, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of pricing, profitability and gross profit.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to develop new markets independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across air, sea and road freight.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, from SMEs to large multinational organisations.
• Develop tailored logistics solutions to meet customers’ international supply chain requirements.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial meetings through to negotiation and closing.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations and tenders.
• Develop a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
• Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth customer onboarding process and excellent ongoing service.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
