Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Freight Forwarder to oversee daily customer bookings and forwarding activities across Europe. You will coordinate with hauliers, carriers and internal teams to ensure timely execution and high service standards, adapting quickly to changing orders and deadlines.

You will bring at least three years in freight forwarding, strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills, fluency in English and Polish plus another European language, and solid IT skills including MS

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in the freight forwarding industry.
• Proactive, organized and commercially minded with strong customer focus.
• Knowledge of European dry freight and temperature-controlled (cold chain) markets.
• Access to an established European haulier network.
• Fluency in English and Polish with at least one additional European language.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily customer bookings and transport arrangements to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with hauliers and carriers to arrange collections and deliveries, maintaining clear communication and monitoring progress.
• Respond quickly to incoming orders, identifying suitable transport solutions and implementing plans within tight timeframes.
• Oversee administration and operations of the forwarding department, ensuring documentation and records are accurate.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, colleagues and transport partners, providing updates and resolving issues.
