Job summary

Logiskills in Dublin 11 seeks an experienced Freight Forwarder with multimodal and customs knowledge to coordinate international shipments for clients. You will ensure bookings, documentation, and customs clearance are completed accurately and on time, interfacing with carriers and clients.

The role requires at least 3 years in freight forwarding, strong customs proficiency, and related qualifications. Office-based, Mon-Fri, in Dublin, with a salary package in the €40-50k range and normal hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, and international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
• Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• FIATA or IATA certification desirable.
• ADR certification desirable or willing to obtain.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; familiarity with freight management systems.
• Experience in pharma/logistics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export freight movements for clients, ensuring bookings and on-time delivery.
• Prepare customs declarations, shipping docs, and origin certificates.
• Liaise with carriers, hauliers, brokers, and partners to secure rates and capacity.
• Monitor status and manage delays, keeping customers and internal stakeholders informed.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
• Adhere to ADR/IATA DGR for dangerous goods movements.
• Follow SOPs and SLAs; complete admin tasks (entry, invoicing, trace, entries).

Package: €40-50k

Dublin 11-based specialist freight forwarder now seeks an experienced freight forwarder with multimodal knowledge and customs knowledge. You will coordinate freight movements on behalf of clients, ensuring shipments are booked, documented, and cleared through customs accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate import and export freight movements on behalf of clients, ensuring shipments are booked, tracked, and delivered to schedule
• Preparation of customs declarations, shipping documentation, and certificates of origin
• Liaise with carriers, hauliers, customs brokers, and freight partners to securecompetitive rates and reliable capacity
• Monitor shipment status and proactively manage delays, exceptions, and disruptions, keeping customers and internal stakeholders informed
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, import/export controls, andinternational trade documentation requirements
• Ensure compliance with regulations for the movement of hazardous and dangerous goods (e.g. ADR, IATA DGR).
• Follow documented SOPs and SLAs for all freight forwarding processes
• Ensure all administrative tasks (job entry, invoicing, track & trace, customs entries) are completed accurately and on time

Requirements;

• Minimum 3 years' experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, andinternational logistics
• Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and international trade compliance
• A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (orequivalent practical experience)
• Customs clearance / freight forwarding certification (e.g. FIATA, IATA, or equivalent) is desirable
• Dangerous goods / ADR certification desirable, or willingness to obtain
• Good Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) and experience with freight/customsmanagement systems
• Experienced in handling commercial conversations with customers and carriers
• Track record of managing customer relationships and service level agreements
• Experience in pharma, medical device, or life sciences logistics is an advantage
