Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Road Freight Operator in Dublin, Ireland, to own European road import or export shipments from booking through delivery. You will coordinate with international transport partners, manage transit documentation, and handle customs declarations under post-Brexit rules.

Candidates should have a proven track record in European road freight forwarding within Ireland, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with Freight software like CargoWise or EDI Enterprise.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in European road freight forwarding operations in Ireland (imports or exports).
• Solid grasp of post-Brexit customs procedures and transit declarations.
• Hands-on experience with CargoWise, EDI Enterprise or similar TMS.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of European road import or export shipments (FTL, LTL, groupage).
• Manage from initial booking to final delivery across Irish and European lanes.
• Prepare transit documentation and Irish Revenue import/export declarations.
• Coordinate with international transport operators and hauliers to track movements and optimize routes.
• Oversee file costing, approve vendor invoices and manage client billing to protect margins.
