responsible for programming, setting up, and operation of Robot Welding Machines, maintain Quality, Safety & Environmental standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and consumables in a busy manufacturing environment. Duties will include the followingAbility to manually weld and inspect weld qualityProgramming machinery and production set upAbility to read and interpret drawingsOperate welding robots in accordance with company safety guidelines and standard operating proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to 6S principlesPerform regular maintenance and calibration on welding equipment and robotsPerform regular inspections and monitor work to meet process requirements..Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures, ensuring proper part orientationMonitor robotic welding process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality welds are producedInspect completed welds for defects and perform rework as necessaryRecord data from each welding cycle in the appropriate logbookCommunicate with other members of the team to coordinate workflow and avoid potential hazardsAssist in training new team members on proper welding techniques and robot operationRecommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce scrapWork with engineering and quality teams to resolve welding issuesParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesAbility to read and interpret drawingsAdhering to all relevant Safety, Quality and Environmental proceduresProgramming and operating robotic welding machines to weld various partsInspecting welds to ensure proper weld quality, especially with regard to alignment, penetration, and fusionPerforming standard welding tasksOperating machines such as grinders etc as requiredMaking adjustments to equipment based on knowledge of welding processes and techniquesPreparing work surfaces by cleaning, removing residue, and cutting materials to specified sizes or shapesInstalling or removing parts on equipment, such forkliftsRepairing or replacing malfunctioning equipment parts such as motors or sensorsMaintain continuity by communicating actions to supervisor
