Job summary

ZeroOne is seeking a Lead/Senior MEP Site Engineer to oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for European data centre projects. You will assist with documentation, quality checks, and stakeholder coordination, travelling to client sites as required.

You will work closely with the MEP Site Engineer, maintain snagging logs, prepare progress reports, liaise with client teams, and support ITPs and site records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years in MEP site engineering or related role.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and AutoCAD.
• Eligibility to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site inspections and quality checks against design specs and safety standards.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, including recording test results and tracking items.
• Maintain snagging and defect logs and follow up with contractors for close-out.
• Help prepare technical and progress reports for the MEP Site Engineer.
• Liaise with client teams to resolve day-to-day site issues and document site records.

Location

Remote or Hybrid with travel to European client sites as required. Client locations include Dublin, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics.\

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with site inspections and quality checks of MEP installations against design specifications and safety standards.\
\
• Support testing and commissioning activities, including recording test results and tracking outstanding items.\
\
• Maintain snagging and defect logs, following up with contractors on close-out.\
\
• Help prepare technical and progress reports for the MEP Site Engineer.\
\
• Liaise with client teams to resolve day-to-day site issues.\
\
• Support maintenance of site records, inspection reports and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).\

About You

\

\
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\
\
• Experience: 2–4 years in MEP site engineering, construction support, or related role.\
\
• Skills: Working knowledge of MEP systems and AutoCAD; strong organisational and communication skills; familiarity with data centre environments is a plus.\

Preferred Certifications

• Working towards Chartered Engineer status.\

• Prince2 Foundation (optional but advantageous).\
