Job summary

The Spencer Hotel in Dublin is seeking a Meeting & Events Supervisor to lead the Meetings & Events operation, ensuring high standards and a memorable guest experience.

You will supervise the team, coordinate event set-ups, liaise with departments, and build strong client relationships while delivering smooth, high-quality conferences and banquets.

Qualifications

  • Have had previous supervisory experience in a 4* hotel or similar restaurant
  • Have a proven ability to manage a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day Meetings & Events operation, ensuring all meetings, conferences and events are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to a consistently high standard
  • Coordinate event set-ups and service, ensuring room layouts, equipment, food and beverage requirements and timings are accurately delivered in line with client and event specifications
  • Lead, motivate, coach and develop the Meetings & Events team, including allocating work, managing performance, supporting training and maintaining high standards of professionalism and service
  • Work closely with the Events, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance and other hotel departments to ensure excellent communication and seamless delivery of all events
  • Build strong relationships with clients and guests, responding promptly and professionally to enquiries, requests and feedback to maximise guest satisfaction
  • Monitor departmental standards, staffing levels, stock and equipment, ensuring the operation is well organised, safe, clean and prepared for upcoming events

Job description

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for Meeting & Events Supervisor to join our Meeting and Events Team at The Spencer Hotel.

The 4* Spencer Hotel is in prime location overlooking the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin’s financial district. The hotel is located within 10 minutes’ walk from O’Connell Street, with easy access to Connolly & Dublin Docklands Dart & commuter train stations. The Luas and Dublin Bus services are also within minutes’ walk from the Hotel.

Main purpose of the role:

Manage the meeting & events operation to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique.
