Job summary

The River Lee Hotel in Cork is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Meeting & Events team. This full‑time role involves leading service on event days, maintaining the highest standards, and collaborating with senior leadership to identify training needs and implement service strategies.

You will act as the main contact for event organisers, coordinate across outlets, and support a hospitality team across diverse shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food & beverage environment is essential.
• Previous hotel exposure is beneficial.

As a Shift Supervisor in our Meeting & Events department you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable and delightful experience. and leave wanting to come back again and again. You will lead the the team on service, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained in our outlets. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team to identify training needs in our team, and implement service strategies to enhance guest experience.

You will serve as a point of contact for event organisers to ensure that every request and guest expectation is met. This is a full‑time role, and applicants must be available to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the year. We host a variety of event types, so the successful applicants should have flexibility to work across a variety of shift patterns, which will likely vary week to week. Experience working within a food & beverage environment is essential, and prior experience working within a hotel will be beneficial to the successful applicant.
