Job summary

UPMC Ireland seeks an Access to Care Advisor Medical Records at Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny. You will ensure safe handling, preparation, filing and transport of patient records while collaborating with Clinical Nurse Managers, Laboratory and Quality Depts to support audits and patient care.

The role requires strict deadlines, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Eligibility to work in the EU is essential; the position offers a permanent contract and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external agencies.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage priorities in a busy hospital setting.
• Ability to adapt to new operational systems and cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IPMs daily for all admission lists.
• Prepare charts for upcoming admissions with consultant and procedure documentation.
• Cross-check records to meet IPSG 1 standards at all times.
• Dispatch charts from Main Library to hospital site for traceability.
• Manage delivery of charts throughout the hospital.
• Work with transport colleagues to ensure safe handling of charts.
• Manage Subject Access Requests in line with GDPR guidelines.
• Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Managers, Laboratory and Quality Depts for timely chart prep for audits.
• Maintain stock of clinical forms and charts and ensure timely filing.
