Job summary

Uniphar Group is seeking a Field Based Service Engineer to provide on-site support across Leinster, Ireland, servicing a wide range of surgical, ophthalmic and general medical equipment. You will perform installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and quick-response troubleshooting for customers.

The role requires a biomedical/electronics/electrical/mechanical/instrumentation engineering background and a driving license.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Biomedical/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation engineering.
Field service experience in medical devices preferred.
Strong problem-solving for fault diagnosis and hardware/software issues (Windows-based).
Flexible, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Full driving license.

Responsibilities

Installations, preventative and corrective maintenance on surgical, ophthalmic and general medical equipment.
Prioritize jobs and respond quickly to customer issues to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose root causes.
Ensure devices meet manufacturer guidelines and calibration procedures.
Maintain calibration of test equipment.
Arrange installation and commissioning of new devices with sales and customers.
Complete ISO-traceable paperwork for audits and invoicing.
Liaise with suppliers and third-party companies as required.
Maintain parts stock to sufficient levels.
Provide device care guidelines and training to customers.
Assist logistics for device movement for installations.
Attend manufacturer training to achieve trained status.
Undertake online training to maintain status.
