Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment represents an established M&E contractor in Ireland seeking a Mechanical Site Manager to lead on-site delivery of mechanical services across residential, commercial and data centre projects. You will oversee day-to-day site activity, coordinate trades, manage drawings and ensure safe, on-time completion.

You will liaise with the project team, engineers and clients, monitor progress and drive quality, with a proactive approach to safety and efficiency on complex sites.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical building services knowledge and construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Experience delivering mechanical services on residential, commercial or data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site.
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Coordinate mechanical works with wider M&E teams and construction.
• Ensure installations meet drawings, specs and programme.
• Liaise with Project Manager, engineers, consultants and clients.
• Monitor progress and report on programme performance.
• Review drawings for technical/coordination issues.
• Manage materials, plant and labour resources.
• Ensure works comply with health and safety requirements.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and handover.

Your New Employer

Our client is a leading M&E contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across major residential, commercial and data centre projects in Ireland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team.

Your New Role

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of mechanical services on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to the highest standard.

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site.
• Supervising mechanical subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Coordinating mechanical works with the wider construction and M&E teams.
• Ensuring installations are completed in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on programme and project performance.
• Reviewing drawings and identifying any technical or coordination issues.
• Managing materials, plant and labour requirements.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Assisting with testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Attending site meetings and providing regular updates to the project team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or relevant trade/technical qualification.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or similar position.
• Strong experience delivering mechanical services onresidential, commercial and/or data centre projects.
• Good understanding of mechanical building services and construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
