Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead on-site mechanical works at Huntstown, Dublin 11. You will oversee subcontractors, coordinate with trades, and drive safety and quality across all activities.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organisational skills, and a pro-active approach to problem solving. You will manage daily operations, produce progress reports, and ensure HSQE compliance while liaising with BIM engineers for model updates and planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a site lead role in construction or maintenance with emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Self-starter with drive and ability to work in a team.
  • Data centre experience is desirable but not essential; strong technical knowledge and practical application.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly toolbox talks to emphasise safety and clear communication.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports highlighting achievements and challenges.
  • Coordinate site activities with other trades for smooth operations.
  • Develop two‑week lookahead plans to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure labour requirements align with project schedules.
  • Maintain high quality across all mechanical works.
  • Drive efficiency by ensuring subcontractors perform at their best.
  • Liaise with BIM engineer to update construction models after upgrades.
  • Daily management, supervision, and reporting of direct labour, plant, and materials.

About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our on‑site team in Huntstown, Dublin 11. You'll oversee daily mechanical works, coordinate with other trades, manage subcontractors, and ensure all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Communicate any variations or delays promptly to your line manager.
  • Ensure all site operations are carried out in strict compliance with company HSQE requirements and standards
  • Daily management, supervision, and reporting, of direct labour resources, plant, safe execution of works and materials allocations
  • Manage and coordinate sub-contractors on site
  • Liaise with BIM engineer to update construction models following all upgrade works
  • Carry out company compliance and administration procedures and recording performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors

Requirements
  • 2 years (Minimum) experience in a site lead role (Charge hand/ Foreman / Supervisor) working in a construction or maintenance team with a strong emphasis on Safety and Quality.
  • Self started and driven
  • Proven background in a collaborative environment working as part of a team
  • Data centre experience desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrable a high level of technical knowledge with practical application
  • A high degree of computer literacy, and proficiency in MS office packages, mainly outlook, word and Excel
