Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a leading Irish M&E contractor in filling a Junior Project Manager role for on-site work in Dublin. You will work with supervisors, site managers, project managers and trades to ensure timely completion of mechanical works, reporting to the Project Manager on the job.

Candidates should have a construction/mechanical engineering degree or trade background, with knowledge of plumbing and HVAC.

Qualifications

• Construction or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent trade background.
• Experience in building services (M&E) contractor, main contractor or M&E consultancy.
• Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily action plans including HSEQ.
• Assist project team with expediting major equipment deliveries.
• Maintain a site diary; attend/ chair internal meetings with sub-contractors.
• Ensure variations are captured with PM and QS; monitor labour allocation by subcontractors.

About Your New Job

As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with supervisors, site managers, project managers and tradespeople to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical works. You will report into the Project Manager on this job. you will be responsible for overseeing the daily works from an engineering point of view, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day operations on-site.

• Develop a daily action plan that includes HSEQ

• Maintain a site diary
• Attend/Chair internal meetings with sub-contractors
• Ensure that all variations are picked up in conjunction with PM and QS
• ensure labour allocation sheets are being completed by sub-contractors

What Skills & Requirements You Need

Candidates will hold a construction or mechanical engineering related degree or come from a trade background. You will have experience working in a building services role for an M&E contractor, Main Contractor or an M&E Consultancy. A good knowledge of building services is required for this role with a particular emphasis on plumbing and hvac.
