Job summary

Ardale Recruitment in Dublin is seeking a Senior Mechanical Lead/Mechanical Project Manager for a €200M industrial project. You will lead mechanical installations on large-scale sites and chair meetings with design teams and sub-contractors.

The role requires 7–10 years’ experience with mechanical contractors, a track record on industrial/pharma/energy projects, and strong leadership of engineers. On-site delivery and adherence to standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience with a Mechanical Contractor.
• Experience leading mechanical installations on industrial, pharma, semiconductor or energy projects.
• Ability to chair site meetings and lead a team of junior mechanical engineers.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with design teams and mechanical sub-contractors.
• Ensure sub-contractors receive information to progress installation according to programme.
• Organise and chair weekly co-ordination meetings with sub-contractors and design teams.
• Develop and manage procurement schedules.
• Ensure subcontractors align with procurement programmes.
• Prepare progress reports and track progress against plan.
• Handle RFIs and site inspections to verify installation conformity.
• Conduct client walkdowns and report variances to the Contracts Manager.

My client is a top tier contractor undertaking a €200M industrial project in Dublin. They are beginning to put the senior site management team in place and have identified the need for a Mechanical Lead or Mechanical Project Manager. Ideally you will come from a Mechanical Trades or Mechanical Engineering background with at least 7-10 yrs experience working with a Mechanical Contractor. You will have led mechanical installations on similar industrial, pharma, semiconductor or energy related projects and be comfortable taking responsibility as the lead, chairing site meetings and leading a team or junior mechanical engineers.

Duties

• Liaise with design teams and Mechanical sub-contractors
• Ensure Mechanical sub-contractors receive the information needed to progress the installation in accordance with the programme
• Organise and chair weekly co-ordination meetings with the sub-contractors and design teams
• Procurement schedules
• Programmes - Ensure sub contractors are inline with procurement schedules
• Progress reports
• Requests for information
• Carry out site inspections of the Mechanical works to ensure the installation conforms to the relevant standards
• Client Walkdowns
• Track the progress of Mechanical sub-contractors against the main programme and report any variances to the Contracts Manager
