Job summary

Global Professional Consultants are recruiting a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to work on a hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. The role focuses on managing mechanical packages, valuations, variations and final accounts, with strong emphasis on cost control and commercial reporting.

You will work closely with the project team, review drawings and contracts, and ensure delivery within budget. 3+ years' data centre/mechanical experience and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in data centre projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical services and construction costs.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.

• Manage the commercial aspects of mechanical packages across a large-scale Data Centre project.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
• Work closely with the project, engineering and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and provide updates to the Commercial Manager.

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading Engineering Contractor on a Hyperscale Data Centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with strong mechanical experience.
• Previous experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or other mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical services and construction costs.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial, organisational and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the EU.
