Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a leading Engineering Contractor on a hyperscale Data Centre project in Frankfurt, Germany. The role focuses on managing commercial aspects, valuations, variations, and final accounts, while monitoring costs and subcontractor payments.

The ideal candidate holds a Quantity Surveying/Engineering qualification with 3+ years’ experience, preferably with mechanical exposure, and is eligible to work in the EU.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering or related.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with mechanical exposure.
• Experience on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical services and construction costs.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Eligible to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of a large-scale Data Centre project.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and commercial teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and provide updates to the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercial aspects of a large-scale Data Centre project.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
• Work closely with the project, engineering and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare regular commercial reports and provide updates to the Commercial Manager.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with strong mechanical experience.
• Previous experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or other mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical services and construction costs.
• Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial, organisational and communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the EU.
