Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of Mechanical and MEP packages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial reports.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Support procurement, tender analysis and subcontract negotiations.
- Manage measurements, valuations and interim payment applications.
- Administer variations, change control and contractual compliance.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities while ensuring project profitability.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
About You
- 6+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.
- Strong Mechanical, Building Services or MEP Quantity Surveying experience.
- Previous experience working with a main contractor or specialist mechanical contractor.
- Experience delivering energy, power generation, data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission‑critical projects is highly desirable.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical / Building Services or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or equivalent forms of contract.
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client and project relationships.
