Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial management of Mechanical and MEP packages throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial reports.
  • Drive value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Support procurement, tender analysis and subcontract negotiations.
  • Manage measurements, valuations and interim payment applications.
  • Administer variations, change control and contractual compliance.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities while ensuring project profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
About You
  • 6+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.
  • Strong Mechanical, Building Services or MEP Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Previous experience working with a main contractor or specialist mechanical contractor.
  • Experience delivering energy, power generation, data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission‑critical projects is highly desirable.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical / Building Services or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or equivalent forms of contract.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client and project relationships.
