Job summary

Mane Contract Services in Dublin is seeking a Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to take full ownership of major electrical and MEP projects. The role covers cost control, change management and commercial strategy from tender through to final account.

You will lead valuations, variations and subcontractor accounts, working closely with planning engineers and senior leaders to maximise profitability on high-value Dublin-based builds.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor in electrical/MEP or building services sectors.
• Deep understanding of construction contracts, variation management and cost control frameworks.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final account negotiations.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and commercial reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete commercial lifecycle, including budgets, Bills of Quantities and profit plans.
• Capture, value and negotiate remeasurements, site changes, dayworks, variations and contractual claims.
• Oversee subcontractor accounts from interim valuations to final account agreements and retentions.
• Partner with the Planning Engineer to reflect milestones in forecasts and reports.
• Spot commercial risks early and present updates to senior leadership.

Are you a commercially driven Electrical Quantity Surveyor ready to take full ownership of major electrical and MEP projects in Dublin?

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical QS who thrives in a hands-on, project-facing role. Rather than just reporting on numbers, you will be embedded within the project team directing cost control, change management, and commercial strategy from initial tender right through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full Commercial Ownership: Lead the complete commercial lifecycle, managing project budgets, Bills of Quantities, and profit plans.

• Supply Chain Management: Oversee subcontractor accounts from initial interim valuations through to final account agreements and retentions.
• Program Alignment: Partner closely with the Planning Engineer to reflect program milestones accurately within commercial forecasts and financial reports.
• Risk & Reporting: Proactively spot commercial risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and present concise financial performance updates to senior leadership.
