Job summary

Veolia Group in Osberstown, Co. Kildare, Ireland, seeks an O&M Technician to perform operational duties alongside the Plant Manager, ensuring optimal plant performance and safety compliance. The role requires carrying out maintenance, monitoring, and timely response to plant issues within a hybrid of onsite work practices.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Mechanical fitter.
• Over 2 years’ water/wastewater treatment plant experience is advantageous.
• Welding experience is an advantage.
• Must be flexible to provide immediate assistance outside normal hours.
• Able to work in a team or on your own initiative.
• Strong technical capability with attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Routine monitoring of plant and processes for optimum performance.
• Maintenance, calibration and testing of plant equipment.
• Complete planned maintenance as per CMMS and record completion.
• Respond to plant/equipment failures and coordinate repairs.
• Identify and manage spares to ensure reliability.
• Own permit-to-work system, LOTO, confined spaces and hot works permits.
• Coordinate shutdowns with management.
• Ensure health, safety, ethical and quality requirements are followed.
