Job summary

Glanua seeks an Operations & Maintenance Field Technician to join our Cork region team, based on-site at Mallow. You will own water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring treated water meets specifications and that plant facilities operate to high standards.

You'll work on a rota, support commissioning efforts, use SCADA and HMI tools, and record activities in our Site Reporting App and SCADA systems. This role offers progression within our growing Irish water sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in water and/or wastewater plant operations.
• Mechanical or electrical background with some process experience.
• Interest in developing a career within water and wastewater.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, including project delivery and team meetings.
• Ability to engage with suppliers and subcontractors at procurement and delivery stages.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SCADA/HMI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own allocated water and wastewater plant facilities and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Perform routine operation and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Record process adjustments and chemical dosing for treated water and effluent.
• Monitor filtration and biological processes in wastewater systems.
• Respond to critical alarms and maintain plant output.
• Log site activities and maintain comprehensive maintenance and test records.
