Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering Lead – Data Centres

Dublin | Relocation Opportunity to Scandinavia

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lead to join a leading international engineering consultancy, delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects.

This role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical engineering and design across complex projects, overseeing technical solutions from concept through to detailed design and delivery. For suitable candidates, there is also an opportunity to relocate to one of the company’s Scandinavian offices.

The Role

The successful Mechanical Engineering Lead will take technical ownership of mechanical engineering and design for major data centre and mission-critical projects, overseeing HVAC systems, mechanical calculations, specifications and design documentation from concept through to detailed design and delivery. You will drive design quality, system performance and multidisciplinary coordination while providing technical guidance to engineers, resolving complex engineering challenges and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Significant experience in mechanical building services design and engineering, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, design calculations, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Knowledge of relevant mechanical standards, regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
