Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an Engineering Director to lead data centre and mission-critical projects internationally from Dublin, with relocation opportunities to Scandinavia.

In this role you will provide strategic technical leadership, oversee 20MW+ projects, manage multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction and commissioning, drive quality and client satisfaction, and build long-term relationships with major international clients.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on international projects.

A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to provide technical and strategic leadership across major data centre and mission-critical projects internationally. This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong track record of delivering large-scale data centre developments, leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and building long-term relationships with major international clients.

The Role

The successful Engineering Director will provide strategic and technical leadership across large-scale international data centre projects, typically 20MW+, overseeing engineering design, technical delivery and multidisciplinary coordination from early concept through to construction and commissioning. You will lead senior engineering and project teams, drive technical excellence and design quality, and take responsibility for engineering performance, project delivery, risk management and client relationships.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in engineering leadership within data centres, mission-critical infrastructure or other complex engineering environments.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale data centre projects, ideally 20MW+.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex, international projects.
• Strong technical understanding of engineering design, project delivery and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience overseeing project performance, technical risk, quality and client requirements.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and provide strategic technical direction.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
