Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Lead to drive the MEP design and delivery for a major Data Centre project in Helsinki, Finland. You will lead a team of Mechanical Engineers, coordinate with the contracts manager, site engineers, and other discipline leads to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, has 7+ years of experience, and is adept at AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering is required.
• Experience leading MEP teams is essential.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Commercial awareness and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers.
• Suggest appropriate design modifications to improve cost efficiency, facilitate construction schedules, and enhance specifications and quality completion.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness.
• Oversee construction to ensure quality workmanship and materials.
• Coordinate with the contracts manager, site engineers, and other discipline leads to ensure subcontractors and site personnel receive timely and accurate information.
• Review and understand drawings and specifications, and promptly communicate any errors or omissions to the design team.
• Determine project resource needs and lead and motivate the project team.
• Ensure the highest standards of health and safety.

Mechanical Lead (Finland)

Mechanical lead required to join one of Europe’s leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a Data Centre project in Helsinki, Finland. The Mechanical lead will report into the MEP Lead and will be responsible for the working with a team of Mechanical Engineers ensuring the successful delivery of the projects Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers.
• Suggest appropriate design modifications to improve cost efficiency, facilitate construction schedules, and enhance specifications and quality completion.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• 7+ Years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.
• Experience in procurement, scheduling, programming and sequencing.
• Experience leading MEP Teams.
• Good IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Packages.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
