Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead for data centre projects in Dublin, with a relocation option to Scandinavia. The role involves leading mechanical design from concept through delivery, overseeing HVAC systems and coordinating across disciplines to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree and significant experience in data centre or mission-critical environments, plus strong client and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in mechanical building services design, especially data centres.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design calculations and documentation.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical standards and regulations.
• Ability to engage with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical engineering design for data centre projects from concept to delivery.
• Oversee HVAC systems, calculations, specifications and documentation.
• Drive design quality and cross‑disciplinary coordination.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and resolve complex challenges.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.
