Job summary

DPS Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead in wastewater treatment projects. You will coordinate a design team, deliver outputs for a portfolio under the guidance of a design manager, and ensure compliance with H&S and CDM regulations.

You will contribute to all design stages, manage design delivery, engage with clients and subcontractors, and support growth of the company through leadership and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Chartered membership of relevant professional institution is advantageous but not essential if working towards incorporated or chartered status.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Mentorship to junior/graduate mechanical design engineers is expected.
• Proven leadership with ability to drive teams and deliver objectives.
• Water and wastewater design experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Design Manager.
• Produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and process treatment plants across design stages.
• Assist in mechanical design from site surveys to detailed design and tender pricing.
• Produce procurement specs, hydraulic calculations and detailed construction drawings.
• Project manage third party designs and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
