Job summary

DPS Group is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers on water and wastewater projects. You will oversee delivery from design through construction, commissioning and handover, reporting to the framework manager on programme, budget and HSQE.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar role, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Extensive knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013; certificate in Managing Safely preferable.
• Experience in design, construction, commissioning and process proving of MEICA systems preferable.
• Level 8 Honours Degree in engineering.
• Chartered Engineer and IEI membership preferable.
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary construction teams in a pressurised environment.
• Ability to engage with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors in negotiations and final accounts.
• Proficiency with programme management software such as MS Project and Primavera; capable of preparing baseline programmes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one or more projects as part of a senior management team.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team on civil, mechanical, electrical and process projects.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on-site.
• Report monthly to the framework manager on programme, budget and HSQE.
• Oversee procurement of supplies and sub-contracts within budget and schedule.
• Manage cashflow and timely interim payment applications to clients.
• Provide training, mentoring and development plans for team members.
• Involvement in tendering opportunities for new projects and continuous improvement.
