Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You will design distribution transformers to customer specifications, prepare drawings and technical details, and coordinate prototype manufacture with R&D to drive improvements.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, proficiency with CREO or SolidWorks, and experience in manufacturing. Travel may be required; a driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Clean driving license preferred and willingness to travel for business.
• Strong analytical, organisational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design distribution transformers to customer specifications.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and technical details for customers.
• Coordinate prototype manufacturing and work with R&D on improvements.
• Prepare factory floor instructions and implement manufacturing best practices.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure specifications are met.
