Job summary

Lumen Search is working with an engineering contractor in Cork to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer to support mechanical and piping packages on technically demanding projects. The role suits someone with piping experience gained across pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare or off-site manufacturing projects, involved from engineering through installation and handover.

You will review drawings, coordinate with site teams and manage RFIs while tracking materials and progress.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Engineer or similar role.
• Strong piping experience is essential.
• Background in pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare or off-site manufacturing projects.
• Experience working with a mechanical or M&E contractor preferred.
• Good understanding of mechanical installation and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of mechanical and piping packages from engineering through installation.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals.
• Coordinate piping installations with site teams, subcontractors and other disciplines.
• Manage RFIs and resolve technical issues as they arise.
